Sachin Bansal is the Founder and CEO of Flipkart,leading E-Commerce Provider in India. An IIT Delhi Alumnus,Sachin left Amazon to start Flipkart along with a friend Binny Bansal with a mere investment of Rs 4 Lakh.Today Flipkart generates Rs 1.5 Crore a Day.It has a record userbase of 1 Million in India only.
As CEO,Sachin oversees all the customer facing activities of the company ranging from technology to marketing.He is also in charge of Flipkart’s corporate divisions which include the finance and legal departments.An avid gaming enthusiast,Sachin likes to spend most of his free time with his family.
Personal Life:-
He is originally from Chandigarh,which is the capital of Punjab.His business partner,Binny is also from Chandigarh.They are not related in any way,it just happens to be a coincidence that they are now working on Flipkart together. Both of them grew up in Chandigarh and went to the same schools yet did not know each other well.He went to the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi,where he studied computer science,and got introduce each other.
They graduated from IIT in 2005,and we took different jobs in Bangalore.He joined a company called Techspan.Their paths converged again in 2006 when both joined Amazon.com,India.Amazon was building Amazon Web Services,which is very big now.They built things like Amazon S3.Their services have powered more than half of the startups in the United States.Now they are successful in their ways.
