The 15-year-old,who uploaded her first song “Main Tenu Samjhawan Ki”from the movie“Virsa” on April 30,2011,has since then uploaded six videos of her singing,that have amassed more than 6 million views in all,making her channel Shraddharockin is of the highest subscribed channel in India with 48,899 subscribers.
She describes herself as a“Normal girl residing in Dehradun”.Giving credit to her mother for introducing her to music,she says,“She is my first teacher my first audience and my inspiration.”The Class XI science student,who belongs to a family of musicians,says she wants to be a rock star.“I want to see myself standing in Justin Bieber’s place,or even higher.I know my dreams are really big,but I believe dreams are fulfilled only if you have the power to see them,”Shraddha says.
I am a big fan of this young girl. Her songs are so melodious and soulful, yet they have a distinct zing. I was recently surfing the net when I came across her new song: http://bit.ly/J9RVh8. Three simple words, Just Trust Me!, but the meaning is so intense. I have also heard that a renowned hair oil brand has roped her in for their recent TVC. Young, fun-loving, web sensation...she has a long way to go. I also appreciate the fact that at such a tender age, Shraddha has made her right choice and has carved out quite a niche for herself.
